Summer workshops: Become a Positive Space Network resource person at UVic Help create positive space
What does it mean to create a safer and inclusive space for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations? UVic’s Positive Space Network (PSN) is hosting several workshops this summer for members of the campus community who would like to learn more about issues affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, queer and questioning (LGBTIAQQ) communities. Participants will have the option of receiving a PSN card/button to display in their UVic study, work or living space, to let others know that they are an informed resource who is available to listen, provide information, and make referrals, and foster connections.
The three-hour, discussion-based workshops are free and open to staff, faculty, and students. No prior knowledge is necessary and people of any gender identity or sexual orientation are welcome to attend. For more information and to register, please visit: http://web.uvic.ca/~psn/get-involved/workshops/.
